Lord, Do You Care About Me? —Isaiah 1:3

Today’s Scripture Reading: Isaiah 28:1-29, 2 Kings 17:5, 2 Kings 18:9-12, 2 Kings 17:6-41, Isaiah 1:1-20

Heavenly Father, it’s hard for me to understand why the people of Israel did not recognize Your care for them.

Even an ox knows its owner, and a donkey recognizes its master’s care—but Israel doesn’t know its master. My people don’t recognize my care for them.” —Isaiah 1:3

From the time of Abraham You have called Israel Your chosen people. You rescued them, forgave them, fed them, spoke to them, and loved them when they were very unlovable.

How could they not know that You cared for them?

Lord, I think it’s the same reason I sometimes don’t recognize Your care for me. I’m looking at my life under a microscope and You’re looking at it and caring for me at the 50,000 foot view.

I guess for the Israelites and me it all comes down to what I believe. Do I REALLY believe You care about me and for me?

If I do, I will trust You and not try to take things into my own hands.

Lord, forgive me when I don’t recognize Your care for me.

In Jesus Name. Amen and Amen!
