Lord, Help Me to Never Forget—Deuteronomy 6:12

Today’s Scripture Reading: Deuteronomy 6:1-9:29

Heavenly Father, You know us so well. You know that when things are going well, we tend to put You on the back burner of our lives.  You know that we can easily forget that You provide everything good in our lives. Lord, You warned the Israelites about forgetting in Moses last message to them before they entered the Promised Land.

“The Lord your God will soon bring you into the land he swore to give you when he made a vow to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. It is a land with large, prosperous cities that you did not build. The houses will be richly stocked with goods you did not produce. You will draw water from cisterns you did not dig, and you will eat from vineyards and olive trees you did not plant. When you have eaten your fill in this land,  be careful not to forget the Lord, who rescued you from slavery in the land of Egypt.  Deuteronomy 6:10-12

Lord, I don’t want to forget all the blessings You send into my life. I don’t want to forget all the times I’ve lived in houses I didn’t build, eaten goods I didn’t produce, drank water from cisterns I didn’t dig and have eaten from vineyards and olives trees I did not plant. Lord, everywhere I look your provision is there!

I will not forget!

In Jesus’ Name. Amen and Amen!
