Lord, Help Me to Seek Praise From You, Not From People—Romans 2:28-29

Today’s Scripture Reading: Romans 2:1-4:25

Heavenly Father, I want my heart right with You. It’s a natural human reaction to seek the praise and affirmation of others when we feel inadequate, rejected, or unappreciated. I don’t want be led by my humanness, I want a daily heart change that is produced only by Your Spirit.

For you are not a true Jew just because you were born of Jewish parents or because you have gone through the ceremony of circumcision. No, a true Jew is one whose heart is right with God. And true circumcision is not merely obeying the letter of the law; rather, it is a change of heart produced by the Spirit. And a person with a changed heart seeks praise from God, not from people. —Romans 2:28-29

Lord, show me how to live this day in a way that pleases You.

In Jesus Name. Amen and Amen!
