Lord, Help Me to Wait for Your Instructions–Numbers 9:8

Today’s Scripture Reading: Numbers 8:1-9:14; Leviticus 1:1-3:17

Today’s Devotion:  Yes, No, Let Me Check

Heavenly Father, Moses’ dependence on You is a great example for all Christ followers.

When some of the Israelites had been ceremonially defiled by touching a dead body they came to Moses asking, “Why should we be prevented from presenting the Lord’s offering at the proper time with the rest of the Israelites?” (Numbers 9:4-7, my paraphrase)

Moses answered, “Wait here until I have received instructions for you from the Lord.” Numbers 9:8

Lord, help us to…

  • Believe that You care about the details of our lives
  • Remember to STOP and ask for instructions
  • Wait for Your instructions
  • Remember that no answer means wait, not do whatever we think is right

Lord, we’re waiting on You.

In Jesus’ Name.  Amen and Amen!

**Our prayers become more powerful when we come together! I would love it if you would post a comment and share your prayer for the day.
