Lord, I Want Your Purpose in My Plans–Proverbs 19:21

Today’s Scripture Reading: Proverbs 17:1-19:29

Heavenly Father, I guess planning is on my mind. Two days in a row scriptures about planning have jumped out at me. I believe Solomon was a planner and he probably struggled with wanting to control his day, week, month, year and life, just like me.

Lord, a friend shared this quote from Oswald Chambers  on Facebook:

It’s much easier to do something than to trust in God; we mistake panic for inspiration.

I wonder how many times over the years  I have “done something” out of panic rather than inspiration? Unfortunately, I’m in a season right now where there has been way too much panicking and not enough trusting. Will I ever learn? Thank You Lord for your grace! Where would I be without it!

Lord, I want to grow up so that You don’t have to continually correct me like the female voice in my G.P.S…

“Recalculating!”

Dianne, You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail. —Proverbs 19:21

“Recalculating!”

Lord I’m so thankful You have corrected me so many times AND You will do it as often as needed!

Lord, I guess the bottom line is, It’s okay to plan but if my plans don’t align with Your plans, Your plans will overrule mine.

Lord, I’m really good with that!  Thank You for getting Your will accomplished in my life!

In Jesus’ Name.  Amen and Amen!
