Lord, Please Bless and Protect Me–Numbers 6:22-27

Today’s Scripture Reading: Numbers 6:1-27; Numbers 10:1-36

Heavenly Father, I want Your special blessings, but sometimes I just don’t know how to pray.  Thank you for including prayers of blessings in Your Word.

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Tell Aaron and his sons to bless the people of Israel with this special blessing:                             ‘May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.’Whenever Aaron and his sons bless the people of Israel in my name, I myself will bless them.” Numbers 6:22-27

Jesus, the Israelites could only receive this blessing when Aaron or his sons spoke it over them, but because of what You did for us on the cross of Calvary, Your followers are royal priests; we can speak this blessing over ourselves and our household. Lord, once again  remind us that we are your chosen people, your royal priests:

But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9

Lord, bless me and protect me.  Lord, smile on me and be gracious to me today.  Lord, show me Your favor and give me Your peace today.

(Insert the names on your prayer list in the me space)

In Jesus’ Name.  Amen and Amen!
